The best robot mop on the market

I have a Roomba S9+, their most expensive vacuum cleaner and I love it. I was totally tuned into the Braava Jet M6, their fully automated, whole-house mapping robot, when I realized that a) it can't cross partitions and b) you have to switch pads pretty much every time it does wipes. Unlike the S9+, which can enter any room in your house (no stairs, of course) and empty the bin afterwards, the Braava M6 isn't a true automated solution. You have to intervene every time he swipes. I figured if I had to do this I might as well get an inexpensive base model. I almost had a Braava 240 or some Samsung thing that rides on two polishing pads. I'm glad I didn't. I think this is the best floor cleaning robot on the market. First, it's a real automatic mop. He doesn't just wipe the floor with the same dirty rag. It sucks dirty water into a separate tank, and the rotating buffer is updated with clean water as it moves. Second, while it doesn't have any app integration or mapping capabilities, it creates an internal map every time it swipes, meaning it methodically cleans up any area you apply it to. A small water tank might be enough for about 1500 square meters. more. That means it can clean most of the average person's house with one tank. It comes with floor cleaning solution, cleaning tool and replacement roller. I'm really impressed with the navigation and internal maps. It has some sort of front IR sensor, gyroscope and accelerometer, and seems to know where it is in space when it makes its map. It slows down before hitting objects, just like my S9 with its "Time of Flight" laser sensor. It also can't cross room dividers (like the Braava M6) and won't climb carpets, but being confined to one room is good with this robot as it can only clean the room you put it in. I really like this article. I don't see much information about this robot on YouTube and I hope the company is doing well because they are the only ones who seem to understand the needs of consumers in this product space. When they break, I buy as many of these things as possible so I always have one. I can't recommend it highly enough. A limitation. It cleans the floor well, but not spectacularly. About as good as my vertical bite fork in a mop, but not as good as a proper mop if you put a little effort into cleaning. The way I see it, moderately dirty floors are washed and kept clean. Don't clean anything disgusting that hasn't been washed in months. If you step into it with this understanding, you will not be disappointed.
