Excellent front satellite speakers. I upgraded an old pair of Bose Acoustimass speakers that I bought a long time ago. The Bose sound was similar to a pair of entry-level Polk Audio towers I also own, but the SVS speakers outperformed both. I also use an SVS powered subwoofer (also recommended) but the highs, mids and stage presentation are way, way better than anything I've tried before. Off topic, but using the self-calibration feature on my Onkyo receiver made another notable difference (and that's something I've previously ignored; getting crossover frequencies and speaker spacing by hand doesn't seem to be my forte). They sound bright without being fatiguing or shrill, bringing old music to life with new details that previous speakers just couldn't reproduce. I'll probably buy a second set for home theater use, or maybe toss it in the back and buy the big SVS bookshelves to use front/stereo for even more range and musicality.
