I bought these because I thought they had a closed back and wouldn't let the pen through. But they have holes in the back so I can't sleep with the earrings on because the posts pierce me. You can't tell from the picture in the listing and I misunderstood one of the answers to one of the questions posted about these backs. Delivery was slow, they came in about a month. They only stay inside due to the friction of the rubber, and some of them are slightly loose and/or off-center. I wouldn't trust them to hold up at all if my earring gets caught on something.
