Review on Uniden PC68LTX 40-Channel CB Radio - PA/CB Switch, RF & Mic Gain Control, Analog S/RF Meter, Instant Channel 9, Noise Limiter, Hi-Cut Switch (Silver) by Jim Cox

I installed this radio in my vehicle. I read a lot of reviews and watched a lot of videos and this turned out to be a good option. I installed the block. I bought and installed an expensive "tunable" antenna. I've adjusted the setup per the expert's instructions, but I'm still only getting reception for about 1/4 mile in open terrain and only 50-60 yards in woods. I'm not exactly sure what the problem is. Over the weekend I was dating a guy who had a cheap device with an expensive microphone and great lighting. In fact, he relayed my messages for me to others in the group a few feet behind me. He has even dragged people for miles through the forest. I studied his setup closely and mine should have been several miles ahead of his but it wasn't. I'll do some more research and if I can get the device to work better I'll update it, otherwise I'll be returning the device in the next few days.
