Poor instructions didn't fit

I ordered these locks for retractable doors that you push up and down and have the round on and off locks that always turn by themselves. These feeds do not match. The lock is too thick and big to fit through the door. The instructions were terrible and didn't even mention where or how to install the locking mechanism. upset. It seems sturdy, but it's not a good or replaceable door knob.
