As a Pre-K educator and mom of 2 and 4 year olds, I give this toy the highest rating. They are super durable. I've had kits in my class for too many years to remember and only now noticed that the tabs on one or two of the green base pieces were broken off. They've been thrown and grabbed, shaken and pulled, and they still work great. Even the parts that are missing the spring still fit together and work great because there are two tabs or two grooves on each side. It is difficult for 3 and 4 year olds to put the basic pieces together and participate, but it is possible. They require just a little strategy BENEFITS STRENGTH Easy to use, regardless of a child's cognitive or play level More creative children and older children can build, while younger children and children with needs can build across the board Easy to clean Excellent fine motor skills training Excellent training in executive function and planning Cons I wish there were more activity kits like the "school house" kit I had in my previous class
