This inverter suits me perfectly. The first place I placed it was mounted vertically on the wooden wall behind the driver's seat of my van. I set it up so that the wording is upside down for easy access to the switch. It doesn't matter in which direction it is installed. It works great both vertically and horizontally. It was easy to install. I later reconfigured the electronics in my van and mounted them horizontally in a hard-to-reach spot so they wouldn't take up usable space for anything else. This is where the wired remote comes into play. Now I can turn the inverter on and off from an easily accessible location. I am happy with my purchase!
