This is a solid beautiful well crafted ITX case that provides great ventilation. Under the top cover there is a thin metal plate the size of the cover that's designed to accommodate 2.5 inch SSD's. Leaving it in place blocks 50% of the ventilation holes of the top cover. The plate also serves to hold in place two USB 3.0 front side panel ports. I used a pair of tin snips to cut away 90% of the plate retaining enough to keep the USB units in place. That left enough height inside the case that I could use the standard Intel fan that came with my 12th generation CPU. That fan is surprisingly attractive and silent at standard speeds inside this case, so for the time being I'm using it instead of the low profile Noctura unit that I bought for the build.
