
The problem isn't with those rear fenders, it's that Tesla uses a VERY cheap bolt and welded nut in the back. If you try to remove these 2 bolts (one for each fender) you will pry the nut off the weld with very little force making it almost impossible to repair if you try to pull out the remaining plastic and felt trim pieces. far enough to insert the pliers and hold the failed nut while you try to back the bolt out all the way. Then guess what. You'll need to go to a hardware store and buy a replacement nut so you can reattach the bolt. Either that, or you get out the welder and reattach the nut to the body, but only after completely disassembling the surrounding components for access and clearance. Or simply omit the rear fenders and install only the front ones. The rear is not needed anyway, as the factory-designed rear bumper prevents almost all stone chip damage in this area. You will still get a lot of benefits by just fitting the front fenders. They are easy to install, no threaded bolts or drilling are required, simply swap out the union nuts for the ones included.
