Waist just over 40 inches. After reading the comments I ordered the 40 inch size. Tried them on without a belt, not bad if you like to wear them on your lap. I believe that with an elastic waistband, a person with a 44 inch waist can wear them. Five belt loops, not the old style of seven (I think the other two loops are expensive), very baggy in back. Can't send them back, currently out of the country, now more money for rework if possible. Made in Indonesia, I believe my old TRU-SPEC was made in the States, not exactly. Overall not a very happy purchase. updates . This issue was resolved with the help of TRU-SPEC staff. Bought another pair measuring 36 inches in waist and 34 inches in length. The results of this purchase were. Customs if required. The 34" length felt a bit long compared to other 34" pants I own. They were made in Indonesia. on both sides.Maybe this experience will help when ordering the size.
