Review on 🪚 FREUD Double Flute Straight Bit 04, 140mm by Jeff Jemison

I have purchased several of these bits over the years to use with my CNC machine. They are very well made, sharp and durable. I've used them on a variety of hardwoods but mainly cherry, maple and walnut. I find the cherry to be the best at capturing fine detail with this nozzle, but I believe that is a function of the wood, not the nozzle itself. Attached is a photo of a very detailed carving on the tank where the attachment is really stands out. The only problem I encountered. there was actually an operator error with the bit when I additionally drove the bit into the clamping screw or moved the router without turning the bit and accidentally knocked off the cutting tip. That being said, I've never had this tip break during a proper cutting operation, which I find extremely impressive given its 1/16" diameter. I highly recommend this product.
