I've been looking for a reliable butane lighter for a few months now. The last pair I bought from the store had a cheap plastic case and broke after a few weeks of regular use. Mainly made of metal, this lighter looks very strong and durable. The tank is made of thick, transparent plastic, but strong enough to be mistaken for glass. I like black metal with a transparent butane tank. It's minimalist and functional, everything I wanted. This is a very small lighter. Not much more than a conventional lighter. It's possible this also means the butane tank is smaller, but I haven't had to refill it after a week of use. It has a small ring which I believe could even be attached to a keychain and seems small enough to fit comfortably in a pocket. Although most of the lighter's body is made of metal, the actual button of the lighter is made of plastic. It's probably good and hasn't been a problem so far, but I'd be really happy if it was metal too. The only other downside is that the flame adjustment isn't a traditional slide like most lighters, but a metal valve that needs to be adjusted with a flathead screwdriver (or maybe a small coin). Sometimes you need a bigger flame to reach a burned out candle, or a smaller flame so you don't singe your eyebrows lighting a joint. I set it on low-medium and it was an effective balance of strong flames but not dangerous. In the end it's exactly what I wanted. A small, efficient lighter that doesn't look like a lightsaber and doesn't need to be replaced after a few days. It's an incredible replacement for disposable lighters and I'm looking forward to making the most of it.
