Review on Le Creuset Original Table Model, 🖤 8-Inch, Black: Timeless Elegance for Your Kitchen by Mya Guzman

As the owner of the original Screwpull wine opener, I was thrilled that Le Creusant was promoting this product. The original was great and lasted for years. I have always admired the Le Creusant product line and the quality of the products and assumed it would be the same high quality product. I am so disappointed. So the corkscrew itself, the corkscrew and the lever assembly are of good quality. Maybe not quite up to the standards of the original, but acceptable. But I was so disappointed that the base that the corkscrew rests on when not in use is a crappy piece of disposable plastic. The original design of the ScrewPull has a base made from the same high quality material as the corkscrew. That didn't happen at Le Creuset. I thought the build was complete and the quality would be high under the Le Creuset banner. A photo is new. The photo of the base shows that flimsy shipping plastic was used in the packaging.
