Review on 🎨 Sennelier La Petite Aquarelle Watercolor Sets - 24-Color Half Pan Set, Multicolor: A Stunning Range of Vibrant Watercolors by Karla Richter

Revainrating 5 out of 5

This is a great kit. Sennelier offers a color chart in .

Great set. Sennelier provides a color table on the side of the box that the ink set comes in, which includes the color number, ASTM rating, opacity/clarity rating and color name in French and English. They use the same color numbers to identify colors as the professional line (some color names differ), indicating they are likely using the same pigments in their student and professional lines. Although it is obvious that in the student line they would use less pigment than in the professional one. Few colors differ from their professional counterparts in terms of ratings, which may be because they use tints instead of actual ones for some pigments (which may make them more stable/fadefast). Note that some of the color names are intended to help beginners choose the "right" color for mixing and practice, and to make it easier for beginners to understand color and differentiate between professional and student lines. hence "simple" in some color names and a simplification of others such as "green-yellow". The information and ratings displayed in the box are as follows: Reading Aid: Color Number Color Name - ASTM Rating - Opacity/Transparency Rating (T/O stands for Translucent and/or Translucent) After I added the corresponding professional line color name the same color number, in In cases where the name has been changed, I have included the pigment/code number for each of the professional colors as per the Sennelier catalog and website for reference and/or comparison purposes. Where there is no name change you will only see the pigment codes followed by the ASTM rating and the T/O rating in parentheses. (I just thought it might be easier than looking at a big spreadsheet with all the information on one sheet rather than in list form.) 116 Titanium White - I - O PW6 (I - O) 501 Lemon Yellow - II - T PY3 (II - T) 574 Primary Yellow - III - T/O PY74 (nr - T/O)579 Sennelier Yellow - nr - T/O Sennelier Yellow Deep PY83, PY153 (I - T/O)645 Orange - nr - T Chinese Orange PY150, PR209, PBr23 (I -T)641 Sennelier Orange - nr - T PO73 (nr - T/O)695 Primary Red - nr - T Alizarin Raspberry Lake PR83 (III -T)690 Rose Madder Lacquer - I - T Rose Madder Lake PV19 (I - T)913 Cobalt Violet shade - I - T Deep Cobalt Violet PR122, PV16 (II - T/O)315 Ultramarine - I - T Deep Ultramarine PB29 (I - T)307 Cobalt Blue shade - I - O Cobalt Blue PB28 (I - T)341 Phthal.
