I'm going on vacation and I need a good shoulder bag. The zippers and buttons seem very strong and secure. No tearing, tearing or unraveling of the fabric. Nice design and the pocket on the strap is also detailed. My phone is too big for it, but it's used to hold my ID, lip balm, etc. The strap is long and at least two inches thick. It won't put pressure on my shoulders like those thinner belts. I'm 5ft 5in and I can call it "fat" and it sits right on my hip. There is no problem with it hugging the chest. Nice lining, it gets softer after use (it's new and feels a bit rough). but not"itch". I absolutely love this handbag and will use it after this holiday! I would not recommend machine washing. Hand wash would be better if you worry about getting tangled.
