I was very disappointed in the help I received when I contacted the company about a new belt that broke during installation. They informed me that they could not replace the strap due to customer error and offered me a 15% discount on a new strap. I have installed several straps on my Dyson over the years. I had no problem putting the new strap on, but when I put it on (not too much) it broke. This was not an operator error. In addition, the tool used to grab the belt and pull it over the belt holder broke immediately. It was a very thin piece of metal with a cheap weld. However, the piece you put on the roller was an absolute time saver. I just used a screwdriver to pry open the strap and put it on the holder. It was definitely easier with the help of another person, but doable on my own. I ended up wearing my old belt because it didn't stretch too much and was fairly new. The role was fine. I gave it two stars because the strap and hook failed immediately and the customer service was poor.
