10/02/19 Unfortunately I should have realized something seriously wrong with this memory when I couldn't get it to work with Apple memory could Furnished. My iMac started freezing and randomly restarting every 30-90 minutes and eventually got to the point where it wouldn't start at all. Removing the OWC storage and replacing the original Apple storage brought my iMac back to life. I've talked about handling OWC for RMA and memory swaps, but this was my second bad experience with OWC hardware in many months. Instead, I decided to return it and wait until Crucial had their own iMac memory kit. OWC memory works fine, but when I also install Apple's original 8GB memory, the iMac won't boot. Other people have gotten 40GB of RAM with their iMacs using this expansion kit, but the new 2019 i9 model might be an exception. To be honest I'm not sure if this is an Apple issue or an OWC issue. And just to clarify, I've tried OWC memory in slots 0/2 with Apple memory in slots 1/3 and vice versa. In both cases, the iMac refuses to boot until 8GB of Apple storage has been removed.
