Review on πŸƒ New Balance Women's Running Shoes - Aluminum & Style Combined by Jeff Jordan

They have less padding than most running shoes, with little to no padding on the tongue.

Amazing how little padding they have. I'm not talking about the sole, I mean the tongue, the collar and other parts of the shoe. I wear the large 11s and they fit me snugly but comfortably. The problem was that my ankles were too close to the front collar. It would be nice if there was more padding but it rubs too much. I think I should return. It's really surprising that they don't have that much padding. I compared them to the Nitrel v3 trail runners and the Nitrel has significantly more padding. The Nitrel is also a trail running shoe designed for heavier use, with a more aggressive profile and thicker mesh in the toe box. This shoe is basically an all-terrain running shoe. This is great for breathability. I like the road tread, it feels more stable than the more aggressive lugged outsole. I also wanted to point out that black doesn't look that cool in person. The laces make it really cool and eye-catching, but could be better with lavender or light blue lace instead. And if you're looking for arch support, look further or buy separate insoles. There isn't much here. Finally, I would like to mention that the insoles are removable and quite wide, so they fit my full size (size 10) Birkenstock insoles. It is great! Most athletic shoes don't do this.
