Great shoe, great support, cute colors, insole issues

These shoes are great! I'm a nurse so I walk about 6 miles in a 12 hour shift and these shoes are comfortable all of the time. I wore them 3 days in a row. They are not "thin" on the sides/back like some other shoes, they have a certain durability which I like. I have high arches and wider feet but they stand the test. They are true to size. My patients love the bright colors (mine is black although I may end up buying grey)! The only negative is that the insole in one of the shoes started to…

They have less padding than most running shoes, with little to no padding on the tongue.

Amazing how little padding they have. I'm not talking about the sole, I mean the tongue, the collar and other parts of the shoe. I wear the large 11s and they fit me snugly but comfortably. The problem was that my ankles were too close to the front collar. It would be nice if there was more padding but it rubs too much. I think I should return. It's really surprising that they don't have that much padding. I compared them to the Nitrel v3 trail runners and the Nitrel has significantly more…

Overall a great shoe but there is one small flaw

Like all New Balance this is a great shoe overall. I ordered a size up to fit my post-surgery swollen foot (I have 2.5 months before my bunion surgery). These shoes are comfortable from the start. Even on my hypersensitive surgical foot. ONE flaw with these perfect boots is that they go a little over my ankle. Hence the shoes rubbing on my round ankle (side ankle for all other nerd scientists). This chafing can be avoided by wearing ankle-high socks. However, this can become a problem if you'd…
