Like many people, I have a mismatched food container. The different sizes of bowl and lid annoyed me and caused me problems when a wobbly stack fell out of the cupboard. So that was the solution. The lids close tight enough not to spill anything, even upside down. They survived a few microwaves and dishwashing. On the other hand, I regret buying 48 of them. 10 in my closet, the rest in long-term storage. They can also tip over in my dishwasher, but supporting them with a heavier object can prevent this.
