But it doesn't work perfectly. Still decent value for money. Ease of installation.

Definitely reduces the impact of impact but does not dampen and therefore can cause kickback but only at high speed on big bumps - which you can see on pedestrian overpasses. This works on most bumps and improves comfort (see attached video). It doesn't feel like flying over bumps, but it's definitely a noticeable difference. Even if you don't see the real hit, it will work. I kept my fingers on the hinge where the top was moving back and forth and I felt some sort of "movement" the whole time. I have also swapped bikes with my wife and she has confirmed that there is definitely a difference and now she wants one too, although she was very skeptical before purchasing. need one. Also in the installation instructions it says that this is a screw to limit the play if it occurs after a while, but there is no such screw. I don't know if it's a different model or a bug. Strange. I asked the bike manufacturer for the size (post diameter) and they confirmed it's 30.9 and fits perfectly. The seat pitch can be adjusted over a wide range to fit all bikes. My weight is around 74 kg / 163 lbs and on the lowest setting (default) it uses around 25mm of travel from a maximum of 40mm on hard impacts. If you're underweight, you'll have even less travel. So this time a little more weight is an advantage and you have more spring travel (better suspension). If you have a lot more weight you can increase the preload to compensate. Looks very nice (hard to tell the difference from my original post) and sturdy. There are no weak points. No weird "noises" or instability while driving. I'd say it was absolutely what I expected at this price point: not perfect, but a huge improvement over the original post.
