A little hesitant to buy these due to bad reviews saying they come loose, hooks break etc. I use them on a former Penske car hauler trailer (like U-Haul) to tow one 4,000 pound international scout. Just used them for the first time, about 400 miles round trip including bumpy, bumpy roads in Indiana and Ohio. Never had a problem, I've tested them at gas stations or bus stops and never had to tighten the seat belts. I used ratchets that attached to the front of the trailer and I gave them about three Ugga Duggas when I tightened them, but they have short handles so it's nothing out of the ordinary. No complaints and I like that they are easy to remove so I can store them indoors when not in use which makes them last a lot longer.
