Why Dishie Yarn is Messy

I wonder why people spend a little more money to buy Dishie than the cheaper competitors. Now I know - its colors are bright, it's soft and doesn't tear. If there's anything that can ruin the calm mood of happy knitting, it's the yarn that breaks. I know it's mostly used for kitchen towels and such, but it's good enough for clothes too.
