Review on Plugable 10 Meter USB 3.0 Active Extension Cable: Long-range, AC Powered, Back-Voltage Protected by Erica Pratt

I needed to connect a microscope's USB camera to a lab computer. Although they are about 3 meters apart, it wasn't safe to pull the cable directly. The 10m USB cable with active power supply works very well. The center amp/repeater was in the wrong place, but I understand why it's needed. But again, I think I understand why it's designed the way it is. I have ordered a second of these 10m USB 3 active cables for the next time I need a long USB cable for reliable performance.
