I have both the English and Chinese editions in my possession. If you do not want to use an application or browser extension, it will be difficult to use, and you will not be able to simply reflash it. Instead, you will have to resort to the "black magic" of flashing the SPI flash memory with a clothespin. People use it, and they do not appear to have any complaints about it, but I have not tried it with an application or browser add-on. Got pros: If there are a lot of 2.4GHz networks in the house but not many 5GHz networks, then the latter can beat the former even farther because it is easy to set up, inexpensive, and operates on the 5GHz band. Different disadvantages: some versions, such as those written in Chinese, are extremely difficult to repair, and it is not possible to reflash them. You will need to practice shamanism in order to install anything on that computer if you wish to use a feature that is not the industry standard, like as a virtual private network (VPN) or a torrent client of some form.
