Review on SE KL1810UL Variable Rotary Flexible by Vincent Burton

High speed rotary tool with 44 " flexible shaft micro sander and 40 piece accessory set

I would not recommend buying this product. I have had a rotary tool from the brand before Dremel. To use the flex shaft, unscrew the front of the rotary tool and then screw the extension shaft onto the tool. The thread size for this tool and the dremel brand tool is the same. There is something on the flex shaft that rotates - sort of a tether I believe. At the end of the flexible shaft that connects to the rotating tool is a square bar that goes into the rotating tool at the same place you would normally put bits in insert the rotary tool. However, it is not possible to tighten the collet and lock nut around the square bar. Even if S ou can tighten the collet around the shank, you cannot pull it out of the flex shaft to achieve a tight fit before threading the shaft onto a rotary tool. It should work like this: you're not using a collet, and there should be a collet nut with a square hole that the square bar fits in. THIS IMPORTANT PART IS NOT IN THIS KIT! Therefore, you cannot use the flexible shaft included in this kit. To make things even more interesting, the diameter of the collet nut on this rotary tool is different than the diameter on the Dremel! So even if you spend $3 or $4 on a Dremel square collet wrench, it won't work. Wrench with square collet. You cannot use the flexible shaft with this rotary tool. I tried speaking to the seller to get a collet wrench but they didn't provide one or covered the cost and insisted I pull it out. Square shaft from flexible shaft (NOT POSSIBLE!) and use normal collet and clamping nut for square shaft round drills. Do not buy this item. And beware of their customer service. Other items sent by this seller were satisfactory and arrived as described, but the seller refused to resolve the issue with this incomplete and therefore defective item.
