Like everyone who buys things on Amazon, I've shopped a lot looking for the right option, and all for a couple of reasons: 1) It really is. Work! I originally looked at those "confidential" roller stamps, but they leak, are annoying, and just don't do the job of sanitizing sensitive documents. It's the other way around. Yes, you can really only fold a sheet or two in half, but they really get shredded. It penetrates envelopes, plain paper, thicker paper, stickers, all those typical items you want to shred before throwing away. 2) It's an incredibly handy size to keep in the corner when I have notes/MNPIs that shouldn't just be thrown away. Since I use it to shred all my notes and emails with my personal information, it's great to have on hand and doesn't take up space under my desk. 3) It's stronger than expected. I dropped it a bit when I first got it and the thing held up. As with any plastic item, I wouldn't recommend dropping or throwing it on the floor, but it holds up well to everyday use. 4) It's easier to use than I expected. I usually fold the paper I need to shred in half, stick it in my teeth, and then hold one side while I rotate the other. It's quick and can be done quickly during the break or while watching TV. Doesn't require much manual effort. If I were to suggest improving the product, the suction cup at the bottom would make it easier to use on a table, but overall it's a pleasure to use. 5) Easy maintenance. As mentioned in another comment, run a piece of aluminum foil from time to time and it will stay sharp. In summary, this is one of my favorite recent Revain purchases and a great must-have for any home. But especially for a household where someone works from home. Have fun shopping!
