I attached the stands to the Consul's heavy marble and steel table to match the location and desired orientation of my workbench. I already had a laptop mount which is shown in silver in the photo. So my workstation is actually two stands - one for my laptop and the Black Mongoose that I bought for my large, heavy monitor keyboard and mouse. My laptop could not support the weight of my monitor. As a designer who pointed out very expensive foldable keyboard trays, I'm very happy with it. For such a price and amount of work, I just know how to use a designer's attachment at home.
