Worked while it took

Easy to install. I used a saw (reciprocating saw) for the cut. The workmanship is not of high quality, but it doesn't look too cheap. Another reviewer notes that the latch is difficult to turn, but it feels almost right to me: I didn't feel any friction; spring pressure only. The design requires a fair amount of spring tension to secure it in place. And this is where my failure came in - the rod spring broke after 16 months of infrequent use. Since the price is good, I came back to try again. Maybe I just have a fragile one.

Pros
  • Pre-assembled for left-to-right opening doors
Cons
  • Upgrades
