First of all I would like to say that the packaging was already opened but nothing was missing inside. (Only the box itself was open.) I assembled it almost as soon as the delivery man handed it to me, so the bamboo was still cold. I say this because I'm not sure if it was due to the brittleness of the cold wood (I'm 30 years old and I still laugh about it) or the poor quality, but one side cracked a bit while collecting it. I read other reviews about not over tightening the screws to avoid cracking so I was very careful with that. Anyway, it still works great, and frankly, you don't even see it. Overall I am satisfied with my purchase. It is quite beautiful and reasonably priced compared to other shoe racks on the market. I definitely recommend it.
