I don't like this combination of battery and charger at all. First, this charger can only charge the batteries that come with it. The batteries are very tight on the controllers to the point where I thought I would damage the controller when inserting/removing the battery. The charging stand also fits snugly against the controller, requiring you to hold the stand while you pull out the controller, or just lift the entire base off the table. You cannot charge the battery independently of the controller. It must be installed on the controller for charging; So if the battery needs to be charged, you can't use the controller. The package includes a USB charger and a USB cable with a barrel connector on one end. The cable is only 16 inches long so it's a real pain. If you want it longer, you need to buy a USB extension cable. The battery and built in charger is a great idea but very poorly implemented in this kit. I doubt I'll ever use it.
