I originally wanted blue but chose black because the shipping was faster. I decided I needed a speaker to take on a river cruise and chose this one because of the cute looks. The speaker has three buttons. The center button is on/off, and as soon as you turn it on, the speaker announces what mode it's in. The left and right buttons are for skipping between tracks, and the volume button is like a dial, like vintage speakers. On the back there is a charging function, USB and an additional slot. The nice thing was that it also came with an ox cord. Charging cable included but no plug. The ox cord and charging cord are smaller, as is common with mini columns. Haven't tried it in any mode other than bluetooth yet and it works great. The nice thing is that there is a beep when charging is complete. Auditory cues are very helpful as I have poor eyesight. When a call comes in, it doesn't play your ringtone but the classic ringtone. I like this speaker and it's moderately loud. Nothing special, of course, but the quality and sound are pretty good, especially for the price. I like its small size so they were perfect for my ride and the sound was loud. I left it on the bank of the river and I myself heard it well in the middle of the river. A notice: If you have vision problems and use a screen reader on your phone, I've found that when connected via Bluetooth, speech output is slow. . I've recently noticed that this is quite common among different speakers, I don't know what the science is behind this. Just a note.
