Forget it, I did this when I first fitted it to my 5.7 and it heats the mount on the intake manifold where I couldn't touch it with my hands. Bracket removed, much better. He's not really needed, I watch him. I've found that it's best to place it directly on top of the probe as it gets more induction away from the fan. It hurts to pull out the dipstick when checking the oil level, but I'm used to it. Generally a good product for your money. I would suggest one of the Real Cold Air Intake setups if that's what you really want, it's not a true cold air intake. Although it's definitely better than stock!
