keeps it dry, room to grow.

So far, so good. It's definitely waterproof, so it does its job well. I washed it when I got it and dried it on a hanger - saw another comment saying the dryer deformed the visor so I wanted to avoid that. in any case, the visor is not completely flat, but it serves its purpose quite well. My 2.5 year old son loves it and there is definitely room to grow, I grew small. I don't know his height but he weighs 30 pounds.
