Converting 5V devices from wall outlets to USB is the best thing I've ever done. I have so many damn devices to connect it's ridiculous, and to be able to free up outlets and clutter is awesome! The first device I wanted to replace was my Philips Hue Hub and after trying another brand of cable that didn't fit I found this StarTech and it fits the hub connector and it WORKS. The Philips Hue hub needs ethernet anyway so it lives next to my router and I plugged it into my router's USB port for power and heck it's nice to not have to worry about the huge outlet anymore with which it is delivered.
