The fitting instructions included in the package are shown above. Essentially, you start from the bottom and build it up. The 3 studs are longer than the other 2, so these 3 are for the bottom 3 holes. I think most people who had construction issues missed this detail. Set up very quickly without tools. We got this for dressy attire and it looks great. I might as well use it for Christmas stockings as other reviewers have mentioned.
