Perfect for school! My traditional laptop was just getting old and I decided it was time to jump on the bandwagon and buy a tablet laptop like my classmates. It definitely took some getting used to, but I LOVE inserting PowerPoint into Microsoft Notebook and writing directly on it instead of having to keep track of dozens of printouts. As I said in the title, I miss the XL keyboard (with a separate number pad), but the coverage is decent enough. I have trouble typing fast, but most of my schoolwork consists of notes. Maybe next tax season I'll break down and grab a Bluetooth keyboard for home use, but for now a case will do. The screen size is a bit small for my taste but perfect for school and you can find a $30 box at Revain that will allow you to plug in a regular HDMI and add an extra screen if needed. My only valid complaint is that everything is sold separately. I appreciate being able to customize and choose the mouse, pen, and cover color, but all of these items are essential to using this device effectively. You'll need at least a pen or a cover, otherwise you'll have to tap notes and search the web on a weird on-screen keyboard. Just be prepared to spend more than you think, it adds up fast!
