I have run cables through many different mediums (drywall, metal joists, ceiling tiles, underfloor spaces etc) and I have to say this device has become my new favorite way to run cables in almost every scenario . Compared to products from other manufacturers such as Klein, the magnet wire is much thinner and also has a much stronger magnetic force. The Magnepull is about the size of a fishing lure and is very easy to fit in a small hole, while the Klein is like a hockey puck cut in half - very bulky. I'm glad I bought it. It's expensive, it's probably the most expensive tool you'll buy for routing cable or wire, but it's worth it. If you make this the first tool you buy for pulling wire, it's probably the only tool you'll need (other than a crimping tool, hole punch, drywall saw, and of course, a drill).
