as soon as I opened the packaging I noticed a very strong musty smell. There doesn't appear to have been any water damage. I assembled it and maybe it just needed airing. In the evening I collected it and put it on the desktop. My wife was gone and came home a few hours later. She smelled it as soon as she got upstairs. I told her it was a chair. The smell came from the seat. I opened the window to let in some fresh air. The next day I sat in a chair and worked for several hours and got a bit of a headache from the smell. Airing it out at night didn't seem to matter. When you stuck your nose in the seat and smelled a strong odor, I contacted customer service and they recommended I send it back. I'm waiting for UPS to pick up the package. Maybe it was just an accident. The chair seems fine. The armrests could have used more padding, but everything else seemed fine. No issues with kickstand slip or damper/spring operation
