Perfect chair, terrible musty/mold smell in seat cushion

Received this chair a few days ago and assembled it within an hour of receiving it. Overall this is a fantastic chair - comfortable, the armrests can be raised/lowered as well as folded back, the footrest is adjustable and the wheels work smoothly. However, the seat cushion smells horribly of mold/fungus. I don't know what happened, the box was completely dry but the seat cushion fills my room with a horrible smell and even stays on my clothes when I leave the room. I tried white vinegar but it

Extreme comfort, works well with drafting chairs

Looks like any office chair with enough assembly - took about an hour to put together. The hardest part was attaching the armrests to the seat at the back of the chair - 1st screw. I also had to place the back of the chair on a plastic bag at the same height as the seat to get the screws into the seat and the underside of the armrests. I had problems with one screw - I think the screw hole in the seat is the problem, but at least it's not striped. It would take too much effort to take it apart,

First impression Only

Just received, was able to assemble quickly and easily, first impression is that Holy smokes it pleasantly. I have ankylosing spondylitis and my body is in a lot of pain. That's great. It fits perfectly on my sit/stand desk. The only thing I wished for was a headrest and I never thought I would need one. Though I think maybe it's out of habit but I sat back and oh - no headrest ha ha. But again, no big deal. I like the lower back support and the seat. It's perfect. I'm a small/small person (5ft

Nice design and very comfortable

I bought a drawing chair for my desk (Varidesk). The piston rises and falls smoothly, although the chair sags about an inch when I put weight on it while seated. The footrest does not stay in place. I'm tall enough to have it ok on the lower end of the range. But others have complained and I've found that it doesn't stay above the low end of its range for long no matter how far you turn the adjustment knob. Right. It's a little higher. The mesh fabric feels nice and offers plenty of…

musty smell terrible - send back

as soon as I opened the packaging I noticed a very strong musty smell. There doesn't appear to have been any water damage. I assembled it and maybe it just needed airing. In the evening I collected it and put it on the desktop. My wife was gone and came home a few hours later. She smelled it as soon as she got upstairs. I told her it was a chair. The smell came from the seat. I opened the window to let in some fresh air. The next day I sat in a chair and worked for several hours and got a bit…

The footrest does not stay in place.

The chair itself appears to be of good quality for the most part and was easy to assemble HOWEVER the footrest doesn't stay in place! Once you put some weight on it, it will slide to the base. We have several of these blueprint style chairs here in our building and none of them have this issue. On closer inspection I believe this is a design flaw as this chair uses a manual twist grip which is part of the footrest and applies pressure through the screw to the shaft, apparently this force should

All my seating problems solved!

I am very happy with this chair! I've had two major back surgeries and am on the waiting list for a third. I am an artist and it was very difficult for me to sit in my previous chair at my art table for more than an hour. This chair changed everything! The seat cushion area is very comfortable, as is the adjustable armrest. Due to back problems I added two lumbar pillows as you can see in the two photos attached. I put one high and one low. This brings me closer to the 90 degree stand-up…
