Review on πŸͺ‘ Optimized for SEO: Flash Furniture High Back Dark Gray Mesh Spine-Back Ergonomic Drafting Chair with Adjustable Foot Ring and Flip-Up Arms by Kristen Szabo

The footrest does not stay in place.

The chair itself appears to be of good quality for the most part and was easy to assemble HOWEVER the footrest doesn't stay in place! Once you put some weight on it, it will slide to the base. We have several of these blueprint style chairs here in our building and none of them have this issue. On closer inspection I believe this is a design flaw as this chair uses a manual twist grip which is part of the footrest and applies pressure through the screw to the shaft, apparently this force should be enough to hold the footrest in place , but unfortunately my 125-pound colleague keeps slipping them. None of the other drafting chairs we have use this push/bolt/button system, all have the footrest integral and/or flush with the stem, for lack of a better description. I tried contacting support to ask if I'm doing something wrong. The support link leads to an external website that asks me to log in. Overall very disappointed with this purchase and will be returning the chair soon if the seller doesn't help me figure out why it's not working properly.
