This winter set is cute and warm. The inside of the hat and scarf are lined with soft, fluffy faux fur. It doesn't itch at all. The gloves have a thin layer of padding under the jersey but are not as thick as the hat and scarf. They are designed for ages 2 to 7, which is a wide age range. My child is on the younger end of this age group and has a larger than average head. The hat fits well, there is room for growth. The scarf is a bit big so it's bulky now, but again there is room to grow. Spaceship and car patches are sewn on the edges to keep them in place. Overall, this is a cute and warm set.
