Review on Memorex 80-Minute CD-RW 4x-12x Speed - High Speed 25-Pack Spindle by Mark Toth

I ordered some spindles earlier and was very satisfied. I was typically able to complete at least five or six write/erase cycles before any scratches or read/write errors occurred. This set was completely different. It may take a cycle or two for the errors to appear. I see scratches like crazy and don't treat them any differently than previous orders. I've really liked this brand so far but will be staying away for a few months because at this price point it would be a lot cheaper to just buy stock discs and throw them away after each burn. I hope that the situation will improve in the future. EDIT: Hard to believe, but I was too nice in my first review. From the last 10 hard drives I only got half a read/write cycle. As far as I can tell they scratch in the spindle. Just to make sure my drive isn't doing any harm, I've switched to a different computer for the last few. Same problem. Now this is a 0 star product for me. It's hard to write off a company for a single $15 purchase, but I wasted so much time on this archival fiasco that I'm about to do it. Done with Memorex. I couldn't be less pleased with the hard drive set if they didn't physically break into the drive and damage the hardware.
