The new set is short lived - the finish will rust and wear down

We received this set as a wedding present 8 years ago and it was great. It's good design, good size and durable. I recently ordered two more sets and one knife immediately rusted and the coating wore off after the first visit to the dishwasher. My old set is still perfectly fine, so the quality has changed. It used to be good but now I would buy something else.
