Review on 🔧 HFS Precision Toolmakers V GROOVE 0 0002: Enhancing Accuracy and Precision in Toolmaking by Daniel Shivashankar

The vise appears to be well made and the screw moves the jaw easily with no play, but the vise is much larger than I expected. The description says the jaws are 2" wide, but they are actually about 2-1/2" wide. They are shown in the drawing as 63mm wide, which is 2.48 inches. I measure jaw depth as 1-1/8 inch, not the advertised 1 inch. I confess that I didn't pay much attention to the dimensions on the drawing or other features listed below. So I can only blame myself for getting a little more than I wanted. I will use it but I would like to find the same but smaller. I have a Sherline vertical grinder and it would be too big to use with it. The dimensions of the product in technical details are much larger than the vise or even the box it comes in, so ignore them. The metric dimensions on the drawing are the ones you should use as a guide. Weight about 8 pounds.
