This bit was able to perform a unique shutter decoration function on the fairing. With a modest router table, this router gave excellent results on hard maple with no cracks or burns. The cut had to be about 3 1/4 inches wide to fit the chisel, but was then trimmed to a narrower width. It required a bit of grinding, which is unusually good for a chisel of this size. On my project, a canopy to cover some roll trusses (hard maple, naturally stained and then stained), the results were excellent. I also ran the racquet over some (much softer) cedar wood and that looked great too. I plan to use it to make a cedar pad for an outdoor shower next door.
