Review on 🌑️ Stant Superstat Premium Stainless Steel Thermostat: Optimum Temperature Control for Enhanced Performance by Mike Devine

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Don't waste your time and money like me.

Don't waste your money or time on these thermostats. I bought 185f and 195f. They don't work properly. The 185f was partially stuck open after a weekend on track and the temp didn't rise above 170f. I took it out to put the 195f in and then found that the pin on the 185f thermostat which is on top of the thermostat was bent over and stuck at a 45 degree angle and wouldn't close fully causing it to shut cold became daily use. Drive. The 195f got my car up to almost 210f on the freeway when it was 80f, which kept my fans in my Miata on all the time. I replaced the 195f with an OEM style 190f thermostat and no problem. It looks very different from the stunts. These super stations don't seem to work as well as an OEM thermostat. Spend an extra $15 on an OEM thermostat. I have an additional analog pressure gauge so I can accurately control the temperature of the water. My stock Miat workshop read the same thing. Only slightly lower than normal when I was running at 170f with a stuck 185f thermostat.
