Kingston Micro 3.1 offers decent read performance and actually supports keychains unlike many of its competitors. But the write speed is worse than many USB 2.0 drives. Kingston is an American company that generally offers reliable and well-designed products. But despite being more expensive than most of its competitors, this drive has terrible write performance. As you can see in the attached screenshot, performance delivered decent read speeds of just over 100MB/s, but write speeds were under 20MB/s. Transcend's JetFlash 710 USB 3.0/3. 1 64GB Flash Drive (TS64GJF710S) offers much better writing performance, but it has a "form over function" design and is not suitable for a regular keychain. The much larger 64GB USB 3.0 (MUF-64BA/AM) is very poorly shaped and even less suitable for storing keys than Transcend. The Samsung 64GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive Fit (MUF-64BB/AM) offers much better performance but doesn't securely attach to a keychain. And the SanDisk Ultra Fit 64GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive (SDCZ43-064G-GAM46) [latest version] offers nothing of value unless you appreciate its ability to melt a USB port in your computer when it gets very hot. So finally. , if you don't need it on your keychain, get a Samsung Fit instead. If you want it on your keychain and can live with very poor typing performance, then at least that's an option. Otherwise keep looking. For the geeks, I ran all tests on a USB 3.0 motherboard (no hub) in a fast i7/SSD desktop system where nothing else works or uses USB 3 resources. All drives were new and exFAT formatted.
