Review on 6-Piece Dining Room Chair Covers Set - Stretch Removable Washable Spandex Slipcovers Protectors For Kitchen Chairs, Banquet/Party/Hotel Ceremony (Black And White) by Sarah Murray

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Combining two chair covers for dining chairs that are over large dimensionally.

Our used dining chairs were a score off Facebook marketplace seven years ago to begin with. After a move cross country and many food spills, they were looking grungy to say the least. These chair covers saved the day! I did a bit of research on what was available and came to discover that my chairs measurements were a bit larger in size then most of the covers available on Revain. I provided a photo with a drawing of what I have but thought I’d share in case anyone out there has larger dining chairs that are upholstered and similar to mine.Chair back length 25 inchesChair back width 20 inchesBack of seat width 16 inches, tapering to 22 inches in the front. (Right behind your knees)Depth of seat from front to back 18.5 inchesThe height of seat bottom 3 inchesThe seat width especially of my dining chairs was over 22 inches wide in front, which was too large for most covers. I saw a few pictures from other similar chair cover reviews that showed a stretched out bowing look of the back of the chair and seat arching if trying to use a cover on a chair that doesn’t fit and had an idea. What if I used two covers instead? It ended up creating a very chic and stylish alternative. I ordered a couple different colors of the bottom seat cover as I wasn’t sure which would match the back floral print cover that I ordered from papasgix covers. The result ended up blowing my mind and I am beyond satisfied.I was able to carefully stretch the floral cover from papasgix over the back wooden frame of my chair. Then I unscrewed the bottom seat cushion and tucked what remained of the floral cover underneath while also securing the bottom seat cover as well. The tricky part was carefully screwing the seat cover back on without getting the bunched up extra remaining cushion cover caught up in the screws. The feel of the floral back chair cover is extremely soft and stretchy. It feels like soft womens leggings. I’d imagine that the fabric would wash well and not pill based on the type that it is but I haven’t washed them yet. The seams are strong but I did slide them on slowly to avoid ripping any considering the larger width dimensions of my seat back. Our captains chairs did work with the covers when I unscrewed the armrests. However in order to re-screw the armrest back to the back of the chair frame I would need to poke a hole through the chair cover. I decided to leave the armrest unscrewed as I didn’t want to damage the fabric yet and we don’t use those chairs often.I also uploaded a photo of what the chair cover looked like stretched out over the back and seat cushion as one piece. They were at there max and on certain chairs the stretched out look was worse then others. My chairs have a solid wooden and upholstered back which made them larger dimensionally so it helped to combine two covers and have it look more polished in my opinion.I hope this can help anyone out there who is trying to decide what to order and if it will actually fit their existing dining chairs. Would the covers have worked as one piece? Technically yes. But the overall look wasn’t what I wanted and shockingly this was even better then I imagined. So don’t be afraid to try it 😉
