I didn't have to put on a test bench to see the difference. After getting my CAI and adding higher octane additives for a week I installed the chip and after 4 hours without a battery I tried the thing out. I drove it for a day and a half and it looks like a different car. I don't know the long-term effects, but I can definitely feel the effect of the chip on the car. It might be 10hp, but for a light car it makes a big difference.
